Mackinac State Historic Parks Select Wagner Design for Advertising and Graphic Design Services

Mackinac State Historic Parks has named Wagner Design of Ann Arbor, Michigan one of its agencies of record. In the new, multi-year assignment, Wagner Design will create and produce a variety of publications, guidebooks, promotional literature, newsletters, signage and advertising.

Mackinac State Historic Parks is a family of living history museums and parks in northern Michigan’s Straits of Mackinac and is an agency within the Michigan Department of History, Arts and Libraries. Its sites include Fort Mackinac, Mackinac Island State Park, and Historic Downtown on Mackinac Island, and Colonial Michilimackinac, Historic Mill Creek, and Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse in Mackinaw City. Mackinac Island and Colonial Michilimackinac are National Historic Landmarks.

Wagner Design was one of 5 agencies that were considered by Mackinac State Historic Parks for the assignment. According to Gregory Hokans, Chief of Development and Marketing, “We chose Wagner Design because of their exemplary design work across a wide range of media, from book design and advertising to brochures and site signage.” The agency’s initial assignment includes revamping the parks’ primary promotional pieces, to be completed in time for the upcoming tourism season.
