Local Companies Awarded Work to SPARK Ann Arbor Region
Four local companies have been awarded the advertising, marketing and PR work to promote the Ann Arbor region. SPARK, the economic development organization for the region, awarded the work and is managing the project. An all-new website, an enewsletter, advertising and collateral material, and public relations are slated for development.
Wagner Design will develop the graphic and web design work; Capital Letters LLC will handle writing assignments for the website, advertising and collateral materials; Zoetic Webworks will program the website and manage the enewsletter distribution; Eiler Communications will handle public and media relations.
Earlier this year, Jill Wagner of Wagner Design and Chris Hippler of Capital Letters, created a dynamic four-page ad for the Ann Arbor region that appeared in a special Super Bowl XL publication. The ad was subsequently developed into a brochure.
The materials will be designed to attract innovation-based technologies to the region and leverage Ann Arbor’s reputation as a center for entrepreneurial energy. SPARK’s goal is to double the number of technology companies and triple the number of technology jobs in the region by 2010. Targeted industries include biotech, information tech, nanotechnology, energy, advanced manufacturing, and security.
