Wagner Design Chosen for "What-To-Do, Where-To-Go" Newsletter Produced by Artserve Michigan, Detroit Free Press and WWJ News Radio 950

Ann Arbor, Michigan
GreatStuff, a free weekly e-mail newsletter of leisure-time activities gets its "look" and logo from Wagner Design of Ann Arbor, Michigan. The newsletter, which is customized to each consumer's interests and tastes, delivers a personalized guide to fun in the seven county area of southeastern Michigan. The first issue of GreatStuff arrived in subscribers e-mail boxes in September.

Wagner Design was selected from a number of design firms who were considered for the project. Barbara Kratchman, President of ArtServe Michigan said, "We chose Wagner Design to create the brand identity for GreatStuff because we were impressed with Wagner's work for other clients. The identity Wagner Design developed for GreatStuff conveys its personality--fun, accessible and reliable--and it makes a strong impact in the different media and materials in which we use it."

For maximum flexibility in a wide variety of media, Wagner designed the GreatStuff logo to work with a series of colorful, rotating icons which represent different aspects of the GreatStuff offerings. A direct mail announcement card and web banners feature unusual entertainment combinations such as 'Dinosaurs & Divas. Together at last'. Jill Wagner was the creative director/designer; freelancer Toni Voss provided copy for the project. Wagner Design also provided design work for an identity package, event banners, web site advertising, the e-newsletter and the GreatStuff web site.

Founded in 1986, Wagner Design provides a full range of creative design and advertising services to organizations in the financial, health care, high technology and retail sectors. The firm has won numerous awards for its work, not only at the local level, but in regional and national competitions as well. Clients include ProQuest, Con-Way Transportation, Ascension Health, University of Michigan Cancer Center, Michigan Department of Education and Childrens Orchard.
