Ann Arbor, Michigan ­ Marketing materials recently designed by Wagner Design Associates for the Lenawee Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) have been awarded first place in the 2009 MEDA Marketing Competition. Collateral pieces won in the category for “printed materials for the population of 50,001-100,000.” The print pieces included letterhead, LEDC’s identity package, capabilities brochure and first annual report.

MEDA, an organization whose mission is to lead Michigan’s economic development through education, networking and advocacy on economic development, sponsored the fourth Annual Marketing Competition for local economic development marketing materials. The competition provides Michigan economic organizations an opportunity to have professional reviews of their marketing materials. First- through third-place ribbons were presented at an awards ceremony, held in Kalamazoo on August 20th.

Lenawee Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to economic and business expansion throughout Lenawee County. In addition to business attraction, retention and start-up activities, LEDC provides services to support business growth including access to funding sources and talent enhancement.

Wagner Design Associates, a graphic design firm in Ann Arbor, is pleased to announce the completion of the Spring 2009 edition of BioMatters, a MichBio publication showcasing Michigan’s Biosciences industry. This is the second volume of the biannual magazine. Wagner has designed both editions and is preparing for work on the Fall 2009 magazine as well. We are happy to be a part of a project that offers outstanding resources, like the Directory and Resource Guide, and which also highlights scientific and economic growth in Michigan. That’s right, I said growth.

As the magazine points out, Michigan is home to more than 540 biosciences enterprises from pharmaceutical and medical device companies to diagnostics, bio-agriculture and nutriceuticals. Michigan is gaining ground with technology-based businesses because of collaborations between local universities, industry, research organizations, government agencies, and other community resources like incubator programs. MichBio’s role is to bring those kinds of collaborations together in order to make bioscience businesses successful. In their words, “We know the players, the market, and what it takes to succeed.  Our members gain access to a valuable network of people representing all facets of the biosciences community.  We are their matchmaker, their guru and their standard bearer.”

Ann Arbor­ Graphic design and advertising firm, Wagner Design Associates, has recently been selected by The Lenawee Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) to create advertising, marketing, and PR materials.

Wagner Design will create new logos and print materials designed to reflect the LEDC’s dedication to supporting existing businesses in Lenawee County, as well as attracting new businesses to the area. Targeted industries are advanced manufacturing, agriculture processing, tourism/recreation, and green technology companies. Jenn Cornell, PR strategist and consultant, will join with Wagner Design to create a comprehensive marketing program.

Wagner Design Associates, an Ann Arbor advertising and graphic design firm, received one Gold and one Silver ADDY in the Ann Arbor Ad Club’s 2009 ADDY Awards competition.

A Gold ADDY was awarded to Wagner Design in the self-promotion category for a wall calendar designed for University Lithoprinters. For each calendar day, the design featured Pantone color swatches chosen in seasonal colors.

The silver ADDY was awarded to Wagner Design for a self-promotion flash piece. The online card production featured holiday-themed headshots of the agency’s staff in a flipbook format.

Wagner Design Associates, an Ann Arbor advertising firm, has recently completed a redesigned web site for the Drug Delivery Foundation (DDF) as well as marketing materials for its main educational program, Strategies in Oral Drug Delivery (ODD09).

The Drug Delivery Foundation is an international not-for-profit educational organization founded to promote education, training and research in drug delivery. Wagner Design created an informational website (www.ddfint.org), to overview its educational programs, which bring together a network of world-renowned experts in the pharmaceutical research field. Together they provide expertise in a variety of areas that assist in oral drug development, including drug permeability, solubility, metabolism, prediction and regulatory landscape. The web site highlights ODD09, a program developed to update pharmaceutical professionals on the aforementioned topics, as well as cell cultures, transporters and salt selection. Wagner Design also created a mailer, advertisement and email marketing campaign for ODD09.
